El productor francés Nixtamal regresa con Rüppell, un nuevo EP editado por Folcore Records, disponible en todas las plataformas digitales a partir del 11 de octubre de 2025. Con cinco composiciones originales, el artista propone una exploración profunda de su universo sonoro, donde el dub electrónico, los ritmos afro-latinos y la melodía orgánica confluyen en un espacio suspendido entre la energía del cuerpo y la ligereza del aire.
Inspirado en la figura del buitre de Rüppell —el ave que alcanza las mayores alturas de vuelo registradas en la Tierra—, este trabajo evoca la necesidad de volver a respirar, elevarse y observar el mundo desde otra perspectiva. Cada tema funciona como una estación de ese ascenso: desde la calma expansiva de Volver a respirar, pasando por la espiritualidad luminosa de Las puertas del cielo y la densidad rítmica de M H G, hasta la emotividad íntima de Tu corazón y el pulso hipnótico de Punchin.
En Rüppell, Nixtamal reafirma su identidad híbrida, tejida entre la electrónica contemporánea y la herencia tropical, el dub francés y la imaginación latinoamericana. Es un trabajo donde conviven texturas analógicas y digitales, percusiones que respiran y líneas de bajo que resuenan como un mantra.
Tras sus anteriores lanzamientos en Folcore Records —Perezoso (2015), Lucía (2016), Orishas (2018) y Pandora (2021)—, Rüppell representa un punto de madurez artística: una síntesis entre la exploración sonora y la contemplación interior.

Comprising five original tracks, the artist delves deep into his sonic universe, where electronic dub, Afro-Latin rhythms, and organic melodies converge in a suspended space between body energy and the lightness of air.
Inspired by the Rüppell’s vulture —the bird known to reach the highest flight altitude on Earth—, this work evokes the need to breathe again, to rise, and to observe the world from a different perspective. Each track unfolds as a stage of this ascent: from the expansive calm of Volver a respirar, through the luminous spirituality of Las puertas del cielo and the rhythmic density of M H G, to the intimate emotion of Tu corazón and the hypnotic pulse of Punchin.
In Rüppell, Nixtamal reaffirms his hybrid identity, woven between contemporary electronics and tropical heritage, French dub and Latin imagination. It is a work where analog and digital textures coexist, where breathing percussion meets bass lines that resonate like a mantra.
Following his previous releases on Folcore Records —Perezoso (2015), Lucía (2016), Orishas (2018), and Pandora (2021)—, Rüppell marks a new stage of artistic maturity: a synthesis between sonic exploration and inner contemplation.
