  4. El Adiós

NATIVO Tribal Bass is the name of the first EP of the duet Nativo - a hypnotic, delirious trip through the roots of Latin America’s most ancient, wild and untamed sounds. Filled with dizzying beats and wild melodies, the 4 songs on the EP combine electronica and the natural sounds of flutes, ocarinas, strings and drums - creating a powerful, mesmeric, crazy, synthesized dance music trip. Risky. Adventurous. Original. Spellbinding.

NATIVO transport the listener to a state of spirituality straight from the Andes and the Amazon. It is also a reflection about what it means to be a native settler of the region, often forgotten to his fate - alone, abandoned, and struggling to defend their lands from the onslaught of the First World. The image of the native defending their water and lands from the abuses of power inspired the duo to create journeys of allegro percussion, using bpms that go to the speed of the Amazonian heartbeat in war.

Anaconda, the first cut, takes rhythms from the Peruvian Amazon and the so-called rhythm of the gang. In this case, it’s the anaconda as a river in the war stand. Mapacho, a cigar that shamans use to drive away spirits, is a journey of healing and drums. Gorilla is a futuristic upbeat merengue juke. Adiós is guitar, nostalgia and bass drums.
