El nuevo álbum de Don Plok lleva por nombre "Camino de Cintura" y se presenta en dos volúmenes: día y noche, yin y yang, on y off, este trabajo representa los opuestos, diferentes estados de ánimo, diferentes representaciones de una personalidad a través de la creatividad musical y multiplicidad sonora del artista.
Acerca de Camino de Cintura
Dos EP de 5 tracks cada uno que funcionan como las dos facetas de un mismo trabajo y que recorren las diferentes bifurcaciones en el proceso de producción del disco, uno con sonidos más tranquilos aunque pegadizos y otro más nocturno y frenético.
"El proceso fue pausado varias veces por tours, y cada vez que retomamos el mood musical iba evolucionando, por eso hay diferentes estados de ánimo y géneros, representando diferentes intereses y búsquedas musicales. Los primeros tracks tienen mucha influencia de la música que me gusta escuchar, y los últimos lo que me gusta tocar en un club" — comenta Don Plok en relación a los dos volúmenes en los que se presenta el álbum.
Los tracks del Vol. 1 transitan diferentes estadíos, como la tranquilidad, creatividad, entusiasmo, eclecticismo, misterio, mientras que los del Vol. 2 transitan otras emociones, como la euforia, el desenfreno, el estímulo, la movitación y la locura.
Camino de cintura, es la ruta que bordea la ciudad de Buenos Aires. Representa la diversidad de las periferias, así como la proximidad y la conexión entre puntos aparentemente lejanos. El disco es un viaje por la ruta creativa del polifacético productor argentino, en dos entregas, que ofrecen esa visión variable de un artista cameleónico que sabe adaptarse a las diferentes realidades de su día a día como DJ, productor y comunicador de lenguaje musical a través de la cultura soundsystem y ravera bonaerense.

El amplio recorrido de la misma representa la diversidad que se puede encontrar en este camino, contando una historia que homenajea los diferentes tipos de suburbios e imaginarios" - comenta Pablo Carpignano aka Don Plok
La segunda entrega estará disponible en plataformas el día viernes 14 de junio, y se compone de 5 tracks también e incluye colaboraciones con más artistas invitados. Presenta un sonido de BPMs más altos, más cercano al dancefloor.
El álbum fue producido artísticamente junto a Manuel Schaller (Sexteto Irreal, Axel Krygier, Orquesta Hypnofón, Dick el Demasiado, Avant Press) en su estudio de Buenos Aires Oídos Contentos.
Acerca de Don Plok
Don Plok es productor, DJ y percusionista argentino. Con más de 15 años en escena, en su música experimenta con un amplio espectro de ritmos nativos y hodiernos, donde priman sonidos percutivos y sintetizadores, así desde el stage logra atravesarnos con su impredecible mixtura. Influenciado por sonidos Electrónicos, Afros, Dub, Cumbias de su adolescencia, y siendo parte de una nueva escena del club latino que transforma el vínculo con todos los géneros, en sus sets induce a lxs oyentes en una experiencia que transiciona desde beat más lento y profundo hasta el clímax de una rave alcanzando los 150 bpms sin perder el groove de sudamérica.
Es fundador de Guateque Soundz (2010) gestora carnavales, fiestas y festivales; y de Dunumba Soundsystem (2018) colectivo que promueve la cultura de bajos de alta definición. Durante los últimos años, ha producido las raves callejeras más importantes de la capital argentina. Viajó por Latinoamérica y Europa, tocando en festivales como Fusion (Alemania), Goulash Disko (Croacia) y Movimientos (Reino Unido). Y ha colaborado con artistas como Soom T, Sara Hebe, Chancha Vía Circuito entre otros.

Acerca de Manuel Schaller
Músico, Productor, ingeniero de sonido. Desde temprana edad realiza instalaciones de arte sonoro, performances y recitales que lo llevaron a presentarse en diversos espacios en continentes.
Tocó en AVANT PRESS, DICK EL DEMASIADO, ORQUESTA HYPNOFÓN, AXEL KRYGIER, SEXTETO IRREAL.
Ha tocado en la película La niña santa de Lucrecia Martel. En 2004 surge el Sexteto Irreal, proyecto que integra hasta la actualidad.
Luego participó en la orquesta Hypnofón, dirigida por Alejandro Terán, y en el grupo de Axel Krygier. En el 2019, se presentó como thereminista y percusionista electrónico en el homenaje a Gustavo Cerati, presentado en el CCK. En 2020 se presentó en el Teatro Colón regularmente con la orquesta Himnofon, y también como solista.

About Camino de Cintura
Two EPs of 5 tracks each that function as the two facets of the same work, and that cover the different bifurcations in the production process of the album, one with calmer yet catchy sounds and the other more nocturnal and frenetic.
‘The process was paused several times for tours, and each time we picked up the musical mood evolved, so there are different moods and genres, representing different interests and musical pursuits. The first tracks are very much influenced by the music I like to listen to, and the last ones by what I like to play in a club’ - says Don Plok regarding the two volumes in which the album is presented.
The tracks on Vol. 1 go through different stages, such as tranquillity, creativity, enthusiasm, eclecticism, mystery, while those on Vol. 2 go through other emotions, such as euphoria, wildness, stimulation, excitement and madness.
Camino de cintura, is the route that borders the city of Buenos Aires. It represents the diversity of the peripheries, as well as the proximity and connection between apparently distant points. The album is a journey along the creative route of the multifaceted Argentinean producer, in two instalments, which offer that variable vision of a chameleon-like artist who knows how to adapt to the different realities of his day-to-day life as a DJ, producer and communicator of musical language through the soundsystem culture and raver ‘bonaerense’.
‘Camino de Cintura is a road close to my house, it crosses the entire Buenos Aires suburbs but from the depths of the city. The wide route represents the diversity that can be found on this road, telling a story that pays homage to the different types of suburbs and imaginaries’ - says Pablo Carpignano aka Don Plok.
The second release will be available on platforms on Friday 14 June, and consists of 5 tracks as well and includes collaborations with more guest artists. It features a higher BPM sound, closer to dancefloor.
The album was artistically produced together with Manuel Schaller (Sexteto Irreal, Axel Krygier, Orquesta Hypnofón, Dick el Demasiado, Avant Press) in his Buenos Aires studio Oídos Contentos.
About Don Plok
Don Plok is an Argentinian producer, DJ and percussionist. With more than 15 years on the scene, in his music he experiments with a wide spectrum of native and hodern rhythms, where percussive sounds and synthesizers prevail, so from the stage he manages to cross us with his unpredictable mixture. Influenced by Electronic sounds, Afros, Dub, Cumbias of his adolescence, and being part of a new Latin club scene that transforms the link with all genres, in his sets he induces listeners in an experience that transitions from slower and deeper beats to the climax of a rave reaching 150 bpms without losing the groove of South America.
He is the founder of Guateque Soundz (2010), which manages carnivals, parties and festivals; and Dunumba Soundsystem (2018), a collective that promotes high-definition bass culture. During the last few years, he has produced the most important street raves in the Argentine capital. He travelled around Latin America and Europe, playing at festivals such as Fusion (Germany), Goulash Disko (Croatia) and Movimientos (UK). And he has collaborated with artists such as Soom T, Sara Hebe, Chancha Vía Circuito among others.

About Manuel Schaller
Manu Schaller Musician, producer, sound engineer. From an early age he has been creating sound art installations, performances and recitals that have led him to perform in different venues around the world.
He played with AVANT PRESS, DICK EL DEMASIADO, ORQUESTA HYPNOFÓN, AXEL KRYGIER, SEXTETO IRREAL
He has played in the film La niña santa by Lucrecia Martel. In 2004 he joined the Sexteto Irreal, a project he is still part of today.
Then he participated in the Hypnofón Orchestra, directed by Alejandro Terán, and in Axel Krygier’s group. In 2019, he performed as a thereminist and electronic percussionist in the tribute to Gustavo Cerati, presented at the CCK. In 2020 he performed at the Teatro Colón regularly with the orchestra Himnofon, and also as a soloist.
