Unas de las primeras incursiones en los sonidos slow y downtempo en el catálogo de Folcore Records estuvo incluido en el EP Cumbia de piedra EP de Jhon William Castaño Montoya que se editó en abril de 2013. La remezcla a manos de Rafael Aragon es la canción que destacamos de ese lanzamiento.
Cumbia Andina - The Peronists & Chancha Via Circuito
Cumbia Andina (focus track de Rural Beats) es una colaboración entre los productores argentinos The Peronists (Fede Randall) y Chancha Via Circuito (Pedro Canale). Ambos productores han formado parte del colectivo y sello argentino ZZK Records a principios del milenio (desde 2006) en su temprana edad y ambos han compartido sus tracks en varias compilaciones referentes del nuevo sonido de la folktrónica de Argentina: ZZK Sound Vol. 1 y ZZK Sound Vol. 2 (ZZK Records, Argentina) y The Future Sound of Buenos Aires (Waxploitation, USA) y Nueva Cumbia Argentina - The Buenos Aires Implosion! (Soot Records, USA).
El Remolón & Bárbara Silva - Si quieres que te quiera (Luca Lead Remix)
La versión del tema “Si quieres que te quiera” hecha por El Remolón & Bárbara Silva t remixadas por Lucas Lead, recoge las dinámicas de una cumbia downtempo llevadas al paisaje sonoro del altiplano. Extraído del proyecto homenaje a Leda Valladares, tema que abre el volumen 2 de “El Camino de Leda Remixes”
Tribilin Sound - Plastilina Musical
Nos remontamos al lanzamiento número 027 del catálogo de Folcore Records donde nos encontramos con el tema Plastilina Musical, una joya en formato de canción a cargo de Tribilin Sound quien nos brinda esta mixtura entre varios de los sonidos de la cultura tropical, con cierta reminiscencia cumbiera, una fina capa zouk y hasta cercana al dembow, pero todo eso fluyendo a un tiempo moderado. Thub - Dorada es mi mañana
Desde Colombia, Thub nos trae esta joya del Pacífico, en este caso más cercano al patrón rítmico del dembow o reggaeton, para deleitar los oídos y dejarnos llevar hasta una nueva mañana. O hasta un nuevo mañana. Por qué no. Extaído del álbum “En el trópico” publicado por Folcore Records en mayo del 2018. El álbum contiene otras perlas esenciales para el neo dancefloor.
