The Silly Tang
Proveniente de las raves Balkan-Jungle de Bristol, The Silly Tang ha estado en la industria de la música por muchos años. Todo comenzó cuando consiguió su primer vinilo de reggae y un par de viejos tocadiscos con motor de correa. A partir de ahí logró ganar confianza en seleccionar música de varios géneros, y abriendo su amor por las multitudes, consiguió varias residencias en Bristol. Su amor por la música lo llevó a estilos más eletrónicos y a medida que iba creciendo comenzó a construirse una reputación dentro del movimiento Junglistic con sus ragga + balkan-core. En la actualidad, su universo musical está lleno de fusión y ritmos rotos.
Desde que llegó a Madrid, hace 5 años ya, ha dedicado la mayor parte de su tiempo a escuchar ritmos más tropicales y mezclarlos con sus británicas raíces de Bristol, como miembro del colectivo "La Selva".
Con cada sesión en vivo o detrás de su ordenador para producir orgamos musicales, se centra en la mezcla de dos estilos muy distintivos que son el UK RAVE y la CUMBIA. Un nuevo movimiento en el mundo de la música tropical que él llama CUMBIALIST.
Hailing from the balkan-Jungle raves of Bristol, the Silly Tang has been in the music industry for now many years. It all started when he brought his first reggae vynil, and got a pair of old belt driven turntables. From there he managed to gain confidence selecting music in various genres, and opened his love for crowd pleasing, which gained him a few residency in Bristol. His love grew towards more eletronic styles whilst growing up and he started building a reputation for his Junglistic moves and his ragga/balkan-core selection.
As you can see now, his musical world is filled of fusion and broken beats. Since he arrived in Madrid, now, 5 years ago he has dedicated most of his time listening to more tropical beats and blending them with his UK, Bristol roots. You can also follow his colective called La Selva.
Every time he gets on a live session or behind his computer to produce musical orgams, he focuses on blending two very distinctive styles which are: UK RAVE and CUMBIA music. He would like to start a new movement amongst the tropical world which he calls the CUMBIALIST movement.
