In 1996 Canalh, still a peasant, got of the woods leaving yellow crop fields to the grey streets of Stuttgart suburbs hit by a hip hop boom. Back in Toulouse, he played the guitar and sang in a traditional Occitan group performing live in the streets and flea markets. This made him very very rich and massively famous in his family. This troubadour gold era ended up when he got cumbiambized with “Catemaco” a Colombian radio program from Toulouse.

In the XXI century, as a nomad language teacher, he lost all his fortune studying, chasing love, hunting music, LP’s and stories. In Paris, in 2005, he began blogging, then mixing in famous multicultural parties of the CIUP where you drop global ghettotech cause you want everyone dancing all night long. In early 2008, running away from the crisis and fulfilling a dream, he emigrated to Medellin.

Canalh makes people travel and dance. Anywhere. No boundaries. His travels led him to know Choteños, Hans, Frenchs, Shetlanders, Garifunas, Paisas, Wayuus, etc. Canalh remixes, mashup’s and mixes, will tell you about them: cadence, calypso, funana, hip hop, reggae, salsa dura, reggaeton, electro, champeta, balkanbeat, and a lot of cumbias.
